The good news is, Lightning Data Service and Base Components are here! Not only are they here, but new Base Components are being released all the time. Join this session as we discuss what each of these are and how it is easy to build, with demos and code examples (Aura and Web) along the way!

  • Other platforms such as SAP and BizTalk have Business Rules Engines built in to pass in a central place data to be evaluated and rules applied. Salesforce has no such inherent engine. HOWEVER, you can build your own that allows you to churn through those rules and compare values independent of their underlying objects in the native object value and return the "best fit". This session will demo one such implementation and discuss the impacts it had upon Territory Assignment and Incentive Registrations in that org.
    Developer Track

  • Preparing for your Certified Technical Architect (CTA) credential is both an Art and a Science. During the CTA Board exam you’ll be given 2 hours to read, solution, design and justify a detailed architectural solution for a hypothetical scenario. But how can you turn a dense set of requirements into a digestible solution in just 120 minutes? Join Ladies Be Architects to learn why artifacts (aka solution diagrams) are important, whether you’re studying for the Board or just looking to better communicate architectural decisions. We’ll walk you through the main artifacts Salesforce architects use, then it will be your turn to grab your markers and practice drawing your own artifacts! You’ll leave the session with examples of different types of solution diagrams, and tips on how to make your artifacts more awesome whether you’re preparing for your CTA or just interested in amping up your architect skills.

  • API connections to get data from other sources into Salesforce is great. It can seem like you need code to find the matching records to connect the other data to, but that isn't true with Flow. Learn to use flow and lookup logic to connect custom objects to each other or to standard objects. We will run through 3 use cases including finding city/region information based on area code from incoming call, finding an associated opportunity to a record coming through an API that has been linked to an account, and even linking a selfie from a photobooth to a lead record or contact record. Become an expert at flows and you are officially a platform developer! Join us!
